Product Specification

The Gpps-evo v4 is a gas pressure proving and gas detection system designed for use primarily in education laboratories.

Gas Pressure Proving

Using our patented differential pressure proving method the performs a downstream integrity check of pipework and outlets which could be left open to atmosphere. Able to test a variety of gas delivery lines including oxygen up to 10bar It also monitors for low pressure and overpressure without opening the solenoid valve, making it the only truly safe method of proving available.

Gas Detection

Up to 16 gas detectors can be connected to the system, low level alerts will cause a audible tone and visual message on screen, high level alerts will additionally isolate the gas supply.

In-line with the updated legislation of BB101 and IGEM/UP11/Edition 3 the system can also monitor the CO₂ level when fitted with a Medem detector displaying the PPM.

CO₂ is considered a primary indicator of air quality, with the latest legislation setting maximum limits for levels within educational facilities.

Carbon Monoxide, Natural Gas and Oxygen detectors can also be monitored.

An auto-stop timer is incorporated to help prevent unauthorised use of the gas out-of-hours.

There are several ‘engineer functions’ which can be used to aid in the set-up of the system.

Remote Indications

All system states and alerts can be remotely monitored and indicated via our “BMS” relays. There are five potential free relays each of which can configured separately.

Medem’s industry leading five-year warranty is a demonstration of the company’s confidence in the quality and design of its products.

This applies to the main panels and sender units, gas detectors carry a 2-year warranty.

Why not let us commission your system and receive a 10-year Warranty?

Where we’ve commissioned an installed system, the warranty is extended from five to ten years. At the time of commissioning, photos and gas pressure readings are recorded along with other relevant details of the installation. A 24-hour helpline number and the serial number is attached with the panel and all details are then entered on to the Medem database.

Service

The panel and sensors must be re-commissioned and tested every 12 months as a minimum but with consideration of every 6 months dependent on gas type and environment. Medem offers cost-effective yearly service plan options which include detector exchange
