SEC-elite Multi-line Gas Proving Detection System
The SEC-elite is a programmable multi-line gas proving and detection system capable of pressure proving 4 gas lines and monitoring up to 16 detectors from a single panel.
The SEC-elite is a multi gas proving and interlocking system with options for electric and water isolation plus ventilation interlocking .
Providing the operator individual control of four gas lines, water and bench electric supplies. The system will perform a down stream integrity check ensuring gas tightness before use, close the gas solenoid valve in the event of a high-level gas alarm, low incoming gas pressure or if the emergency stop/fire alarm is activated.
It is designed for use primarily in education laboratories.
Gas Pressure Proving
Using the patented differential pressure proving method, the SEC-elite can individually pressure prove and control up to four separate gas lines in a room from a single panel.
It can prove a variety of gas delivery lines including natural/LPG and oxygen up to 10bar when supplied with the appropriate pressure sender unit. Low and high incoming pressure issues are monitored and reported on the LCD display.
This reduces installation and purchase costs and creates a simple interaction for the user.

Gas Detection
Up to 16 gas detectors can be connected to the system, low level alerts will cause a audible tone and visual message on screen, high level alerts will additionally isolate the gas supply.
Detection of exotic gases can also be monitored.
The SEC-Elite can monitor the carbon dioxide level and temperature to control area ventilation in the laboratory when fitted with appropriate sensors.
All features of the system can be enabled during the initial installation, or they can be introduced at a later date, thereby providing a unique level of future-proofing.
Service Isolation
Aided by hidden until lit switches, isolation control of electrics, water valves and non-proving gas valves can also be achieved.
Ventilation interlocking and non-proving service control are also standard features.

Remote Indications
All system states and alerts can be remotely monitored and indicated via our “BMS” relays.

Peak Alarms

Time Weighted Average (TWA) Alarms
Three different TWA alarms can be set (e.g. 5000ppm for 10 secs, 3000ppm for 2 mins, 500ppm for 10 mins).

A downloadable detector log of minute average data for each detector with up to 90 days history.

Why not let us commission your system and receive a 10-year Warranty?
The system comes pre-configured and requires full commissioning by a Medem engineer. After commissioning, the main panel is issued with a 10-year warranty. Gas detectors carry a 2-year warranty.
Service
The panel and sensors must be re-commissioned and tested every 12 months minimum, or possibly every 6 months depending on gas type and environment. Medem offers cost-effective yearly service plans.
