SEC-Lg v4 Multi-function Laboratory Gas Supply Control System
The SEC-Lg is a multi-function solution designed for the laboratory. Providing the operator control of the Gas supplies and ventilation interlocking.
Gas Pressure Proving
Featuring Medem’s patented differential pressure proving method it can pressure prove a variety of gas delivery lines including oxygen up to 10bar. Overpressure can also be monitored and reported on the LCD display.
The SEC-Lg can monitor the carbon dioxide level and temperature to control area ventilation in the laboratory when fitted with appropriate sensors.
Where the CO2 level rises above prescribed limits, the system can isolate a gas supply to help meet the updated BB101 and IGEM/UP11, edition 3. The limit is variable to accommodate for current legislation and guidance.
The fail-safe gas valve and relay checking, fire alarm and time delay auto restarts are just some of the new developments making Medem systems continue to be the most reliable, safest and flexible available today.

Gas Detection
The panel can monitor up to 6 detectors directly and up to 16 when installed with an AD-PP power pack.
The current range is:
Methane/Natural Gas (CH4), Propane (C3H8), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Oxygen (O2) Depletion.
Alarm Types
Fixed low and high alarm peak levels, high alarm activation will latch and isolate the connected gas valve.

Medem’s industry leading five-year warranty is a demonstration of the company’s confidence in the quality and design of its products.
This applies to the main panels and sender units, gas detectors carry a 2-year warranty.

Where we’ve commissioned an installed system, the warranty is extended from five to ten years. At the time of commissioning, photos and gas pressure readings are recorded along with other relevant details of the installation. A 24-hour helpline number and the serial number is attached with the panel and all details are then entered on to the Medem database.
Service
The panel and sensors must be re-commissioned and tested every 12 months as a minimum but with consideration of every 6 months dependant on gas type and environment. Medem offers cost-effective yearly service plan options which include detector exchange to assist in service budgeting.
